CHARLOTTE - Austin Meadows homered and Frank Duncan worked a season-high 6.2 innings as the Indians defeated Charlotte, 6-3, on Sunday at BB&T Ballpark to claim the three-game series.

Josh Bell raised his average to .319 with a 2-for-3 performance, scoring twice.

Charlotte (35-36) was on the board in the opening frame. Carlos Sanchez tripled with one away ahead of Matt Davidson, who drove him in with a base hit.

The Tribe loaded the bases with no outs in the second, but only managed one run. Ed Easley lofted a ball to right field allowing Josh Bell to tag and score to tie the game.

Indianapolis (38-31) jumped in front in the third as Austin Meadows continued his hot hitting with his first Triple-A home run. The two-run shot came after a double by Pedro Florimon and extended Meadows' hitting streak to 26 games since May 23.
