COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Alen Hanson hit a two-run homer and four Tribe pitchers combined for just one run as the Indianapolis Indians edged the Columbus Clippers, 2-1, to regain sole possession of first place in the International League West division.

The Indians dropped the first two games at Huntington Park before rallying to win both Wednesday and Thursday for a series split against their division rivals.

Starter Wilfredo Boscan (7-3) went six one-run innings for his third straight win. Bobby LaFromboise and Josh Wall combined for the seventh and eighth and Blake Wood closed the ninth for the second consecutive day for his 23rd save.

Hanson lifted his home run in the top of the third. Keon Broxton went 3-for-4 to extend his on-base steak to 23 games. It's the longest active streak in the IL.
