Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The 2015 IronRail Series continues as the IronPigs (47-58) play the finale of a two-game series -- and of a four-game, home-and-home series -- against the first-place Scranton-WB RailRiders (58-48) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 9-4 loss last night, the Pigs have dropped back-to-back games to the RailRiders to even the season series, 6-6. Still, the surging Pigs have won 18 of their last 28 affairs and sport a share of the IL's best record (25-16) since June 14 after falling to their low-water mark (22-42) of the season... The RailRiders -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- have now won seven of their last eight contests, bouncing back from an 8-16 skid from June 25 to July 21... Next up for the Pigs is a three-game series against the Norfolk Tides (60-43), who own the best record in the IL and are 10-4 since the break.
LHP Cesar Jimenez (2-4, 3.48) will start for LHV against RHP Bryan Mitchell (5-5, 3.12).
Tonight is a Real Tree Camo Cap Giveaway, presented by Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays... First Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
