
Travis Knocks in a Run in Return to Lineup

Erie SeaWolves News Release
The SeaWolves dropped their second straight game as they fell in the series opener on Monday night against the Bowie Baysox, 14-3, at Prince George's Stadium.
Bowie jumped ahead in the bottom of the first against Erie starter Jeff Ferrell. Sharlon Schoop led off with a double and scored on a Niuman Romero single for a 1-0 lead. With one out, Dariel Alvarez singled putting two on for K.D. Kang who doubled home a run for a 2-0 lead. Michael Ohlman doubled home Alvarez and Kang making it 4-0 Baysox.
In the second. Schoop walked with one out and moved into scoring position on a Romero knock. With two outs, Alvarez doubled home the runners making it 6-0. With Alvarez on third following an error, a snap throw from Craig Albernaz to third got away, allowing Alvarez to score for a 7-0 lead.
Bowie added a two-out run in the third to go ahead 8-0 on a solo home run off the bat of Garabez Rosa, his third of the season.
The Baysox worked the lead up to double digits in the fourth. Ferrell walked Romero and Christian Walker and was lifted for reliever Brennan Smith. Smith served up three-run home run to Alvarez making it 11-0 Bowie.
The SeaWolves got on the board in the top of the fifth against Baysox starter Tim Berry. Jason Krizan walked and reached second on a wild pitch. With one out, Francisco Martinez walked in a 14-pitch plate appearance putting two on base. With two outs, Devon Travis singled home Krizan making it 11-1.
In the seventh, Albernaz doubled to the alley in right-center and score on a two-out Corey Jones single making it 11-2.
The 'Wolves final run came in the eighth against reliever Luis Ayala. Krizan singled to extend his hitting streak to five straight and scored on a Martinez double making it 11-3.
Bowie added three more in the eighth to go ahead 14-3 against reliever Guido Knudson.
Ferrell (3-3) took the loss allowing 10 runs on nine hits with three walks and two strikeouts in three innings of work.
