CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve, in conjunction with City Beverage and Forever Broadcasting are thrilled to announce that Guinness Irish Fest will return to Peoples Natural Gas Field in 2014 on Sunday, June 8 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. This extravaganza will feature some of the very best in live Irish music, plus food, drink, and activities for adults and kids of all ages.
Anyone who comes out to Guinness Irish Fest will be treated to live music from Altoona's own Michael O'Brian Band. The duo of Michael Zerbee and Brian Anderson have been performing live Celtic music since 1998 at many Pubs in the area plus area conventions and other festivals in the Altoona area. Along with the duo, Full Kilt and other live music acts will be performing at the event. Full Kilt has been together for almost a decade and collectively has over 50 years of experience in exciting Celtic music. Along with the great music, Irish Fest will feature plenty of vendor booths plus activities for adults and kids alike.
Irish Fest will be held on the main concourse at Peoples Natural Gas Field and the event will run rain or shine.
"We had such a great response last year when we started this event that we were eager to continue it and make it a tradition," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "With great music from well-known Celtic acts, delicious grog from Guinness and City Beverage, and vendors and activities that Forever Broadcasting will bring - we know Guinness Irish Fest 2014 will be a hit with the community."
