Brock Stassi hit a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to defeat the Fisher Cats 4-3.

The Reading Fightin Phils continue their dominance in one-run games this season as Brock Stassi hit a walk-off two-run home run off Blake McFarland in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the Fightins a 4-3 win. Reading improves to 24-18 on the season and have won five straight games.

Ryan Schimpf led off the top of the second inning with a double off Jesse Biddle. In the next at-bat, Gabe Jacobo hit a two-run home run to give the Fisher Cats a 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the second inning, Sebastian Valle hit a solo home run off Deck McGuire to cut the Fisher Cats lead in half 2-1.

Reading tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the 9th inning as Sebastian Valle hit a RBI groundout off Fisher Cats reliever Tony Davis to score Brock Stassi. New Hampshire scored their third run of the game in the top of the twelfth inning as Jon Berti scored on a ball past Valle to take a 3-2 lead.

Nefi Ogando earned his second win of the season and Blake McFarland took the loss. The Fightin Phils win their third straight series and looks for their sixth straight win on Wednesday. First pitch against the Fisher Cats begins at 6:35 pm. Mike Nesseth (0-3, 7.78 ERA) will be on the mound for Reading.
