
Ducks Take Series Finale 2-1

Erie SeaWolves News Release
The SeaWolves dropped the series finale to the Akron RubberDucks on Sunday afternoon 2-1 at Jerry Uht Park.
The SeaWolves grabbed the lead against Akron starter Cody Anderson in the bottom of the third. Marcus Lemon led off with a single and moved into scoring position on an error on a ground ball off the bat of Eugenio Suarez. With two outs, Ramon Cabrera doubled home Lemon for a 1-0 lead.
Akron tied the game in the bottom of the fifth against Erie starter Wilsen Palacios. Tyler Holt tripled with one out and scored on a Francisco Lindor base hit.
The RubberDucks took the lead in the top of the ninth against Slade Smith. Bryson Myles led off with a single and moved to second on an error. With two outs, Holt singled home the go-ahead run making it 2-1.
J.C. Ramirez shut the 'Wolves down in the ninth, preserving the Akron win.
Smith (0-1) took the loss allowing a run on two hits in an inning of work.
Palacios got the no-decision allowing a run on six hits with no walks and three strikeouts in five innings of work. It was his fifth consecutive start allowing three runs or fewer.
