ON THE SCORESHEET
- Zach Hyman scored his AHL leading fourth shorthanded goal, his 13th goal of the season. Hyman has recorded a goal in each of his last two games.
- Sam Carrick assisted on the Hyman tally, he has recorded points in back to back games to push his point total to 18 through 36 games this season. Carrick also led all skaters with six shots on goal.
- Nikita Soshnikov opened the scoring for the Marlies, recording his 18th goal of the season.
- Frederik Gauthier recorded an assist on the opening Toronto goal. The rookie centreman has 15 points through 44 games this season.
