St. John's IceCaps News Release

UTICA, NY - For the second straight game the St. John's IceCaps were unable to come back from a 3-0 deficit, losing 4-1 to the Utica Comets Friday night at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

Bud Holloway scored at 16:43 of the final stanza, the only marksman for St. John's, who trailed 3-0 entering the third period. The Comets made it 4-1 with a late empty-netter.

Perhaps the biggest highlight for St. John's was John Scott's first fight as an IceCap - in the first period - a one-sided victory over Darren Archibald, who had kneed IceCaps defenceman Ryan Johnston. The IceCaps play the Comets again Saturday night (8:30 PM NT). Catch all the action with Brian Rogers at stjohnsicecaps.com, 930AM and AHL Live.

IceCaps single-game tickets can be purchased in person at the Mile One Centre box office (noon-5 p.m.), by phone at 709-576-7657 (9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.), or online at www.mileonecentre.com.
