February 26, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

Chicago Wolves defenseman Scooter Vaughan and forward Evan Trupp will visit three Chicago-area libraries next week to cap the 21st season of the team's "Read to Succeed" program, presented by Butternut and J.U.L.I.E. Call 811.

Vaughan, who graduated from the University of Michigan in 2011 and is a business entrepreneur and a guitarist away from the ice, will visit the Park Ridge Public Library at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2.

Trupp, a 2012 University of North Dakota graduate, visits the Downers Grove Public Library at 4:30 p.m. and the La Grange Public Library at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 3.

The Read to Succeed program teaches the importance of recreational reading and encourages children to use the many resources libraries offer. Vaughan and Trupp discuss the benefits of reading outside the classroom and explain why it plays an important part in their lives as professional athletes. One child at each library will get the chance to dress in a complete Wolves uniform.

Participants can win prizes -- including Wolves ballcaps, sunglasses, and tickets to upcoming games at Allstate Arena -- for setting and achieving reading goals. More than 17,000 children participate in Read to Succeed activities during the winter months.
