Toronto Drops St. John's 3-2 in Overtime

The Toronto Marlies defeated the St. John's IceCaps, AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets, by a score of 3-2 in overtime tonight at Mile One Centre.

Kael Mouillierat opened the scoring at 3:43 of the first period. Toronto tied the game at one before the end of the frame on Ryan Lasch's first goal as a member of the Marlies. The two teams would exchange goals in the second period with Jesse Blacker scoring for Toronto and Eric O'Dell responding for the IceCaps. After killing off a penalty early in overtime, Greg Scott notched the game winning goal at 2:20 of the extra frame.
