
Amerks Reassign Fienhage and Knapp to Gwinnett and Greenville

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans announced today that defenseman Corey Fienhage has been reassigned to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL and goaltender Connor Knapp has been reassigned to the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL.
Fienhage, 22, has appeared in three games with the Amerks this season, as well as 65 games with Gwinnett, where he recorded 15 points (2+13), 44 penalty minutes and a +18 rating for the Gladiators. During the 2011-12 season, Fienhage played in 20 games with the Amerks, collecting four assists and 20 penalty minutes. The native of Apple Valley, Minnesota, also played in 32 games last year for Gwinnett, where he registered 13 points (5+8) and 28 penalty minutes. Fienhage was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round (81st overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Knapp, 22, has appeared in 12 games with Greenville this season, posting a record of 5-7-0-0 with a 3.05 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. In seven games with the Amerks this season, Knapp has gone 1-6-0 with a 3.34 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage. The York, New York, native appeared in 84 games during his collegiate career with Miami (OH) University, posting a 46-22-11 record with a 1.94 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. Knapp was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the sixth round (164th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
