Metairie, LA - The Zephyrs lost to the visiting Albuquerque Isotopes on Sunday 6-3.
The game was tied after seven innings. But after getting a run in the eighth, Albuquerque closed out the game by starting the ninth inning with an inside the park home run by center fielder Eric Reed. Reed finished the game 3-5.
Relief pitcher Ben Howard (5-2) got the win for the Isotopes, after allowing no hits and no runs in one inning.
Zephyrs reliever Bill Bray (1-1) records the loss after giving up the tie-breaking run on one hit in one inning.
Offensively the Z's did get another homer from first baseman Kevin Orie, giving him 16 on the season to lead the Zephyrs.
Albuquerque now leads the series 2-1, and the teams will finish off their series on Monday in a 7:05 PM CT contest.
