TODAY'S OPPONENT: The Iowa Cubs are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 1998. Last year, the Cubs went 79-64, first in the PCL Central. They beat the RedHawks in the first round of the playoffs three games to two and were swept by Sacramento in the PCL championship series.

TODAY'S GAME: The RedHawks continue their series with Iowa . The RedHawks are 11-4 on Sundays and won their first 10 Sunday games. A win would increase the RedHawks' winning streak to six games and give then a season series win over Iowa for the first time since 2001 when they won the season series 5-3 over the Cubs.

STANDINGS: The RedHawks are in third place, five games behind Albuquerque .

LAST GAME: The RedHawks scored 10 runs in the first three innings to beat Iowa 11-0. Juan Dominguez started and picked up the win, going five innings and giving up two hits, walked none and struck out four. Jason Botts hit a home run in his second straight game and had three RBIs. Drew Meyer also had three RBIs for the RedHawks. Esteban German went three-for-five at the plate with two doubles.

VS. IOWA: The RedHawks swept the first series in Iowa , were swept in their return visit and split the first series between the two teams in Oklahoma . The RedHawks are batting .268 [128-for-478] against Iowa this year, the second-lowest batting average for them against teams from the American Conference [teams they play 16 times this season]. They are batting .262 against Omaha .

PITCHING MATCHUP: Oklahoma's R.A. Dickey makes his 11th start this year for the RedHawks. In his last appearance, he followed a pitch-count limited 2.2-inning outing by Juan Dominguez July 19 at New Orleans . He went 5.2 innings and gave up no runs on five hits with no walks and four strikeouts to pick up the win. Todd Wellemeyer starts for Iowa. He started against the RedHawks July 1 and went three innings, giving up three runs on five hits, two doubles.

STREAKERS: Relief pitcher Michael Tejera has stranded all 25 runners he has inherited this season ... Outfielder Chris Richard is on a seven-game hitting streak dating back to July 16. He is 9-for-24 [.375] with seven RBIs during the streak, raising his average from .251 to .265 ... Second baseman Ian Kinsler is on a seven-game hitting streak dating back to July 17. He is 9-for-30 [.300] with three RBIs during the streak, raising his average from .263 to .266 ... Third baseman Marshall McDougall is on an eight-game hitting streak dating back to June 28 against Nashville. He is 12-for-29 [.414] with 13 RBIs during the streak, raising his average from .320 to .335.

EXTRA BASE HITS: The last 29 hits given up by the RedHawks have been singles. The last extra-base hit against the RedHawks was Kevin Orie's home run off Juan Dominguez to lead-off second inning July 19 at New Orleans. The last double given up by the RedHawks was by Brandon Watson in the eighth inning off Hector Mercado July 18 at New Orleans . The last triple against the RedHawks was by Charles Gipson in the seventh inning off R.A. Dickey July 14 against Round Rock.

PITCHING: During the five-game winning streak, RedHawk starters are 4-0 with a 1.95 ERA [6ER, 27.2IP] with seven walks and 18 strikeouts. The bullpen is 1-0-2 with a 0.52 ERA [1ER, 17.1IP] with four walks and 11 strikeouts. Overall, the RedHawk pitching staff has a 1.40 ERA [7ER, 45.0IP] with 11 walks and 29 strikeouts during the winning streak.

Rashad Eldridge's triple in the seventh inning last night was the first triple by a RedHawk since Chris Richard did it in the ninth inning July 16 against Round Rock.
