Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack's pre-Christmas schedule wraps up with a game against the London Knights at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre on Saturday, Dec. 19 following a rare Friday night off.
Saturday night is the annual Toonies and Toys game with the Owen Sound Fire Department, who will be in the Sun Life Community Corner. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or participate in the 2nd intermission puck toss in support of the OSFD Salvation Army Toy Drive.
Already the 5th meeting of the year between the Midwest Division rivals, the Attack trail the Knights 3-1 in the 2015-16 season series heading into Friday's battle.
Owen Sound was victorious in the first meeting of the year between the squads, a 2-1 win back on Oct. 10 in the Scenic City.
The Attack will be looking to close out the first half of the season with a bang and continue the hot play that they have found as of late.
Coming off of a 5-4 shootout win over the Peterborough Petes on Thursday, Dec. 17, Owen Sound has won three of its last four games, improving its record to 14-13-4-2 on the year.
London's last outing saw them down the Kitchener Rangers on Wednesday, Dec. 16; a game that helped propel them to their current standing of 24-5-1-1.
Saturday night's visitors will be without their top three scorers as the trio of Christian Dvorak, Mitch Marner, and Matthew Tkachuk are all away competing for spots on their respective World Junior teams.
Santino Centorame continues to power the Attack's offence, adding an assist in Thursday night's win to give him 24 points on the year. Owen Sound's captain is riding a season long point streak, racking up two goals and four assists in the team's last five games.
Fans are reminded that Saturday's game is the Toonies and Toys night in support of the Owen Sound Fire Department's annual toy drive.
Tickets for the game are available at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.
The Weekend Preview is presented by Joe Tomato's, located next to the Galaxy Cinemas on the Sunset Strip. Fans can bring in their Attack ticket stubs for half-off wings and appetizers following every home game.
