HAMILTON, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs (12-17-3-0) defeated the Kingston Frontenacs (20-10-2-1) 4-1 Friday night at the K-Rock Centre.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring on the power play when Mason Marchment scored on a wrist shot at 4:14. Stephen Harper and Niki Petti picked up the assists.

Hamilton would make it a 2-0 lead as Stephen Harper deflected a Connor Walters shot past Kingston goaltender Lucas Peressini just two and a half minutes later. Jack Hanley was awarded the second assist on Harper's second point of the night.

The 'Dogs added to their lead just 1:21 into the second period as Michael Cramarossa deked around a pair of Kingston defenceman and beat Peressini. Mitchell Mendonca and Connor Walters were awarded the assists on the play.

Hamilton stretched it to 4-0 as Niki Petti scored short-handed after he was sent in alone thanks to a Mackenzie Entwistle pass. Connor Walters added his team high third point of the game on the 'Dogs final goal.

Kingston would add their only goal at 8:19 of the third period as Cody Caron scored on a one-timer from Ted Nichol. That was the only time the Frontenacs would beat Charlie Graham who stopped 47 of 48 shots to secure the victory.

The 'Dogs are back in action on Saturday night when they host the Flint Firebirds. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the FirstOntario Centre.
