Walleye Notes
- Week in Review! On Friday night Toledo trailed 3-0 at Fort Wayne early in the second period. Forwards Kyle Rogers, David Gilbert and Scott Arnold all scored in succession to catch the Komets midway through the third period, but the Komets eventually won 4-3. Cincinnati stunned a sellout crowd of 8,200 on Saturday night, best Toledo 7-3.
- Packing the House! Saturday night's crowd of 8,200 was the 4th sellout of the season for the Toledo Walleye. The Walleye are 3rd in the ECHL in average attendance with 6,219 fans per contest.
- Seven has been the Number! Saturday night was the fourth time this season that Toledo has allowed 7 goals in a game. Evansville scored 7 goals against the Walleye twice on December 5th (7-3) and 18th (7-3). South Carolina reached that mark on November 27th (7-0).
- Gametime! It's a busy for the Walleye starting Monday night when the Kalamazoo Wings come to town. Toledo is 2-2-0 against the Wings so far this and each has scored 10 goals against the other. The last two meetings have each been 2-1 games. Tuesday night the Walleye will ring in the New Year with a trip to Fort Wayne to take on the Komets. The Walleye hold a 1-1-1 record against Fort Wayne. Friday night the Reading Royals will enter the Huntington Center. Reading defeated Toledo 5-4 in the lone meeting so far this season back on November 17th. Toledo will finish the week in Kalamazoo Saturday night.
- Promotions! Monday night features an appearance from the famous Zooperstars! Friday night is Anger Management Night brought to you by Promedica. The first 2,000 fans through the door will each receive a Nick Vitucci bobblehead! All American Karate will have live demonstrations and workshops on how to reduce and control stress.
