Today's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (11-15-3-1) head into the rubber match of their three-in-three weekend series with the Stockton Thunder (15-10-0-4), this afternoon, at Stockton Arena. This is the sixth of 15 meetings between these teams this season. The Bulls holds the edge in the season series seven points to five.

Last night, the Bulls lost to the Thunder in a hectic high scoring contest, 7-6 in overtime. San Francisco held a lead multiple times, but ultimately couldn't hold off the Stockton attack. Chris Crane (2), Tyler Gron, Dean Ouellet, Collin Bowman, and Adrian Foster had the tallies for the Bulls. Crane, Ouellet, and Foster each had three-point nights. The Thunder out-shot San Francisco, 38-24.

You can add Foster's name to the growing list of Bulls players who have caught fire recently. He has a five-game point streak, with nine points in that span (3g, 6a). Since signing with San Francisco part way through the season, he has produced at greater than a point-per-game pace. He has compiled 15 points (5g, 10a) in 14 games. In addition, Foster is tied for third on the team with a +2 plus/minus rating.

Heading into game three of their five-game series with Stockton, the Bulls will have to keep an eye on forward Joey Martin. He posted a three-point night yesterday, and now has six points (2g, 4a) in his last three games against San Francisco. On the year, he leads the Thunder in points (26), and is tied for the team lead in assists (19).

San Francisco is in sixth place in the Western Conference with 26 points. They are five points ahead of the Bakersfield Condors and Utah Grizzlies, who are tied for seventh. The Thunder are tied with the Idaho Steelheads for fourth place in the Western Conference with 34 points. They are three points behind the Alaska Aces.

Following the game the Bulls are off for four days, before completing their five-game set with the Thunder. Game four is on Friday, January 3. The game begins at 7:30 pm, in Stockton.
