Bulls Lose in Stockton, 5-1

STOCKTON, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls (11-16-3-1) lost to the Stockton Thunder (16-10-0-4), 5-1, Sunday afternoon, at Stockton Arena. The Bulls surrendered four early goals, which proved to be too much to overcome. Parker Milner was strong in net for the Thunder, finishing with 31 saves. Tyler Gron scored his team-leading 15th goal in the loss.

The Thunder thoroughly dominated the first period. The Thunder scored four times in the frame, including three in a span of 3:04. The tallies came from Matt Bergland, James Henry, Mike Dalhuisen, and Nick Larson. Following the fourth goal, Tyler Beskorowany was pulled in favor of J.P. Anderson. In the period, Stockton outshot San Francisco, 17-6.

In the second period, the Bulls applied pressure, tilting the ice in their favor. Late in the period, Gron took advantage of the momentum swing scoring with 2:13 remaining on the power play to make it 4-1. Adrian Foster had the lone assist. The Bulls out-shot Stockton 19-11 in the middle frame.

The Thunder quickly regained their four-goal advantage in the final period. At 3:51 of the third, Landon Oslanki scored on a feed from Alex MacLeod. The Bulls got a few more chances, but Milner held them scoreless in the final period to secure the win.

San Francisco is now off for four days. Next weekend they wrap up this five-game set against Stockton. Game 4 is on Friday, January 3 in Stockton at 7:30 pm. The Bulls then host Stockton on Saturday, January 4 at 7:30 pm for Country Western Night.
