Titans rain on Storm's parade, 3-2

TRENTON, NJ (March 31, 2006) - The Titans battled back from a 2-1 deficit in the third period as Jim Henkel potted two goals in a span of 6:01 to give Trenton the 3-2 victory over the Toledo Storm.

An enthusiastic crowd of 4,095 at the Sovereign Bank Arena saw the Titans skate into the third period tied 1-1 with the Storm.

Scooter Smith notched the go-ahead goal at 5:57 of the final frame as Toledo finally converted on their seventh power play opportunity of the contest.

Trenton would battle back on just their second chance on the man-advantage, when Jim Henkel blasted a slapshot past Logan Koopmans at 10:36 of the third.

Skating 4-on-4, Henkel would score again and give Trenton its first lead of the game with just 3:32 left in regulation as he fired a wrister to the near post for his 20th goal of season.

Rejean Beauchemin made the lead stand and collected his eighth win of the year with 46 saves on the evening.

The Titans special teams had a strong night finishing 7-for-8 on the penalty kill and 1-for-3 on the man advantage.

Peter Tormey also picked up his fourth goal of the season at 13:57 of the second to knot the score at 1-1.
