Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
Atlantic City, NJ â Trenton's Scott Bertoli tallied the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal at 7:34 of the third period to lead the Trenton Titans to a 2-1 victory over the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies before 4,486 at Historic Boardwalk Hall in ECHL action Friday. The Bullies (1-2-0) opened the scoring at 3:12 of the second period when Derek Edwardson from the right-wing circle slapped the puck through Trenton goaltender Andrew Allen for a 1-0 lead. The goal was Edwardson's first as a professional. Trenton (3-0-0) would respond with a two-man advantage power play goal just 26 seconds into the third period when Leon Hayward tipped the puck past Bullies goaltender Adam Munro to tie the score 1-1 and set up Bertoli's heroics. Trenton out-shot Atlantic City 31-27. Munro made 29 saves in taking the loss. The Bullies went 0-7 on the power play. Atlantic City returns to action at 7:05PM tomorrow when they battle the Reading Royals at Historic Boardwalk Hall. Saturday is Family Night. Buy 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas for just $44.
