RHP Kyle Lloyd (5-4, 3.97) vs. RHP Dace Kime (6-13, 5.04)

Friday, August 15, 2014 - Fort Wayne, Ind. - First Pitch 7:05 p.m. - Game 122/139

About Last Game : In the finale of a three-game series, the TinCaps lost to the Lansing Lugnuts, 6-1, on Thursday night at Cooley Law School Stadium. Fort Wayne scored in the top of the first inning on a sacrifice fly from Ryan Miller. However, the TinCaps managed just two hits for the entire game. Lansing tied the game in the second, went ahead with two in the fifth, added two more in the sixth, and one more for good measure in the eighth. Cody Hebner started and struck out a season-high seven batters in five frames.

A TinCaps Win Would : Avoid three consecutive losses... Gain ground on Lake County, either Bowling Green or Dayton who play each other, and perhaps Great Lakes, which plays West Michigan. See the Standings below for more information on the Eastern Division second half playoff picture.

K is for Kyle : Tonight's TinCaps starter Kyle Lloyd has been arguably the best pitcher in the Midwest League since July 12. Over his last six starts, Lloyd has struck out an average of 8.7 batters per start. He's tied for second in the league with 127 strikeouts in 99.2 innings pitched.

Packed Parrrkview Field : In 58 openings this year, the TinCaps have hosted 21 sell-out crowds. Tonight - Pirates Night presented by Shindigz - is expected to be No. 22. Fort Wayne has averaged 5,864 fans per game.

BIG FUN : With tonight being Pirates of Parrrkview Field, the TinCaps are wearing special jerseys, which will be given away to fans after the game. There are also postgame fireworks. Saturday night will feature a performance by QuickChange with postgame fireworks presented by Lutheran School Partnership and a PHP thunderstix giveaway.

Locks for Hits : Fort Wayne first baseman Jake Bauers trimmed his long blonde hair Thursday in hopes that it would bring better fortunes at the plate. Bauers was hitting .379 on June 25 and led the Midwest League in batting average. Since then, his average has dipped to .299. He hit .221 in July and is 11-for-46 (.239) so far in August.

Turnt Up : Since debuting with the TinCaps on July 13, Trea Turner's .417 batting average is fourth best in all of Minor League Baseball. His .489 on-base percentage is sixth best in MiLB.
