LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps lost, 8-4, versus West Michigan. Cole Cummings hit his first High-A homer as part of a 3-run first inning for Fort Wayne.

MAX FERGUSON: Leads all of professional baseball with 64 walks, one ahead of Washington Nationals star Juan Soto... He's also 2nd in all of professional baseball in stolen bases with 52, including his first as a TinCap on Tuesday. He's 1 behind another Padres prospect, Esteury Ruiz, a 2018 TinCap who's stolen 53 bags between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso. The current MLB leader is Miami's Jon Berti with 22.

ROBERT HASSELL: 2nd in the MWL in average (.303), 3rd in hits (72), 5th in RBIs (43), 7th in stolen bases (19) and total bases (112).

LUCAS DUNN: Since joining the TinCaps on May 31, Dunn has been the most prolific hitter in away games. His 17 hits, 9 extra-base hits, 3 home runs, and 15 RBIs on the road lead the team (no other TinCap has more than 9 RBIs).

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (54), while ranking 4th in triples (5), and 5th in walks (42; 15%) and stolen bases (22)... 14-game on-base streak dating back to June 14.

DEBUTS: On Tuesday, the Padres promoted infielders Max Ferguson and Cole Cummings to the TinCaps from the Single-A Lake Elsinore Storm, while infielder Wyatt Hoffman and outfielder Angel Solarte were transferred to Lake Elsinore... Ferguson and Cummings combined to reach base seven times in 10 plate appearances combined in their debuts respectively. The last four current TinCaps to debut (Ferguson, Cummings, Lucas Dunn, and Matthew Acosta) havae combined to hit 9-for-15, 2 2B, HR, 3 RBI, 3 BB, and 2 SB in their first game at the High-A level.

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers lead the league in throwing out runners trying to steal (26 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads with 17, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 7 of 19, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps are 2nd in the MWL in walks drawn (4.3 per game) and also have struck out the 2nd fewest times in the MWL (8.6 per game)... The Whitecaps ranks 1st in walks and have struck out the least.

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 24-10 when scoring first (70% win rate) and 4-33 when they don't (11%)... Fort Wayne is 6-9 in 1-run games, 4-10 in 2-run games, and 0-2 in extra-innings.

260 TO THE SHOW: Since Fort Wayne's franchise was established in 1993, there have been 206 alumni who've gone on to appear in the major leagues, including 49 this season... Pirates outfielder Jack Suwinski (2017-18) leads MLB rookies in home runs (12), while MacKenzie Gore (2018, '21) ranks among rookies 4th in strikeouts (65)... The latest MLB All-Star Game fan voting has 2014 TinCap Trea Turner of the Dodgers leading the way for NL shortstop and 2016 TinCap Ty France of the Mariners in 2nd for AL first baseman.
