Timbers, Seattle Battle to 1-1 Draw at Centurylink Field Thursday Night

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Portland Timbers were unable to overcome a stoppage-time equalizer, playing to a 1-1 draw on the road against Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field on Thursday night. In his first appearance of the 2020 regular-season campaign, Andrés Flores tallied a goal, as the Timbers improved to 3-0-2 in their last five regular-season meetings on the road at Seattle.

Andres Flores' 2020 Debut

In his 2020 regular-season debut, and his first appearance since Sept. 22, 2019, Flores tallied his second career goal for the Timbers in 74 minutes of action. The goal against Seattle marked his first tally since scoring against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Oct. 28, 2018. Flores has two goals and three assist in 46 career appearances (23 starts) across all competitions for Portland.

Chara's strong shot was parried away by Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei to Flores in the right side of the penalty area, and his right-footed shot was fired into the bottom right corner of the net.

SEA - Will Bruin, 90+3rd minute: After João Paolo's out-swinging corner-kick delivery fell to Will Bruin on the edge of the six-yard box, he powered his shot past Steve Clark into the lower left corner of the goal.
