
Tigers Drop 6-3 Decision to Broncos

Swift Current, SK - The Medicine Hat Tigers could put together their 5th straight win as they fall on the road 6-3 to the Swift Current Broncos Tuesday night.
In the first period just one goal scored as the Broncos with just 2:19 as Tyson Laventure would give the home side the lead at 1-0 heading to the 2nd. Tigers' goaltender Evan May (Nanaimo, BC) would make 10 saves in the period.
Off to the 2nd frame and the Broncos would score early in the 2nd at 1:58 as Brady Birnie would make it 2-0 Tigers but Gavin McKenna (Whitehorse, YT) would respond at 3:24 to cut the Bronco lead to 2-1. Late in the second the Broncos would go up with a two-goal lead heading to the third as Tyson Laventure would follow through with his second of the game on a Broncos power play at 14:33.
Into the third, Swift Current would counter with another marker as Caleb Wyrostok would score his third of the campaign and shorthanded for the 4-1 Bronco lead. But the Tigers would show some push back as Cayden Lindstrom (Chetwynd, BC) would add to his team leading 15th goal of the season at 10:07 from Andrew Basha (Calgary, AB) & Rhett Parsons (Cremona, AB). Then 2:25 later on the power play, captain Tyler MacKenzie (Red Deer, AB) would notch his 11th of the year from Reid Andresen (Saskatoon, SK) & Dru Krebs (Okotoks, AB) at 12:32.
But that would be as close as the Tigers would get as on a late power play the Broncos would make it 5-3 as Ryland Gould would score his 6th of the year, and with the net empty on another push by the Tigers Ryan McCleary would score ending the night in a 6-3 win over the Tigers.
The Tigers would outshoot the Broncos 37-25 and go 1/6 on the power play and 2/4 on the penalty kill.
Next up for the Tigers is a road-trip to Brandon on Saturday, November 18 at Westoba Place.
