The Tigers closed out a busy weekend hosting the Red Deer Rebels on Sunday at Co-op Place. It was the third of eight meetings between the two teams this season. The Tigers were looking to continue their winning streak against the Rebels having won eight in a row dating back to the 2019-20 season.

Red Deer opened the scoring just over five minutes into the first period. Kalan Lind found Hunter Mayo alone at the point. Mayo skated in and let a wrister go from the top of the dot that found the back of the net for his first career WHL goal. The Rebels added to their lead a few minutes later. Liam Keeler celebrated his 21st birthday by scoring his 11th of the season. Keeler skated down the right wing and let a wrister go that beat the netminder top corner glove side. Red Deer continued to put points on the board at the midway mark of the frame. While on the power play, Ben King found Christoffer Sedoff at the left faceoff circle with a pass that he one-timed top corner on the short side to make it a 3-0 game.

The Tigers would get on the board early in the second to cut the lead to 3-1. Daniel Baker let a shot go from the point that caromed a few times in front of the net before eventually going in the net off Teague Patton's skate. Andrew Basha picked up the secondary assist on Patton's sixth of the season. Medicine Hat would make it a one goal game with another goal only 34 seconds later. Pavel Bocharov found Brendan Lee in the high slot with a nice feed. Lee one-timed the pass with a big slap shot that beat the goalie on the glove side for his seventh of the season. Oasiz Wiesblatt also found the scoresheet with a helper on the goal.

Red Deer got a bit of breathing room early in the third period. Ben King found Arshdeep Bains with a spinning pass that he one-timed from the right side of the slot. His shot beat Beckett Langkow five hole for his 17th of the season and gave the Rebels a 4-2 lead. The Rebels made it a three goal game late in the period when Ben King scored his team leading 24th of the season. King put in the rebound off Christoffer Sedoff's point shot with 6.42 remaining in the game to secure a 5-2 victory for the Rebels.

Garin Bjorklund (5-16-2-0) got the start in net for the Tigers, but was pulled midway through the first period. He made 4 saves on 7 shots. Beckett Langkow (2-8-1-1) came on in relief. He had a fantastic game making 32 saves on 34 shots.
