Trenton, NJ) Thanks to the addition of the Horizon "Healthy Plate" concession stand, ARM & HAMMER Park, home of the Trenton Thunder, ranks number three on PETA's (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) annual top 10 list of the most vegetarian-friendly ballparks in the Minor Leagues.

According to PETA's announcement, "ARM & HAMMER Park is debuting on PETA's list this year, earning a spot in the top three with such crowd favorites as veggie dogs and burgers, hearty vegetarian chili, a portobello mushroom and grilled vegetable sandwich, and a fruit sorbet that can be jazzed up with mix-ins of strawberries, blueberries, mangos, and bananas."

The "Healthy Plate" menu was designed by certified dieticians under the direction of Glenn D. Pomerantz, MD, JD, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Horizon BCBSNJ. The menu includes a long list of popular heart-healthy dining choices, such as a grilled portobello and vegetable sandwich, fresh salads, baked potatoes with low fat toppings, gluten free cookies and low fat frozen yogurt. From entrees to appetizers; from side dishes to beverages and desserts; each affordably-priced item includes calorie and other nutritional information.

With 38 home games remaining this season, including six straight games starting this Friday, June 21, fans have many opportunities this season to sample the vegetarian options at ARM & HAMMER Park. All Trenton Thunder tickets are on sale now at trentonthunder.com.
