
Thunder Welcome the Seven Millionth Fan in Franchise History

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, welcomed the seven millionth fan in franchise history, Angie Bernstein of Mercerville, NJ, on Tuesday night as the Thunder faced the Akron Aeros.
Angie Bernstein walked through the turnstiles at 6:44 pm with her son, Christopher, and husband, Scott, to become the milestone fan. She was recognized on the dugout in the fourth inning and received a prize package that includes: four tickets to see Mary Poppins on Broadway contributed by WPST, four passes to Six Flags Great Adventure from Snyder's of Hanover, a $100 gift card to Wawa, a $150 gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods, a grill and cooler set from Coca-Cola, an Adirondack chair from Budweiser, gift certificates to Peddler's Village and Rat's Restaurant at Grounds For Sculpture and four Trenton Thunder playoff ticket strips (all 6 potential games) as well a Thunder replica jersey. The total value of the prize package is approximately $1,500.
Since the organization's inaugural season in 1994, the cumulative attendance stands at 7,003,130 with two games remaining this season. 374,731 fans have attended games this year for an average of 5,430 per game.
On May 9, 1994 Trever Miller delivered the first pitch thrown at Waterfront Park. Two years later the Thunder's one millionth fan passed through the turnstiles. The two millionth fan, Charlie Brown of Trenton, NJ, entered the gates in 1998. The three millionth fan was eight-year old Grace Conway of Yardley, PA during the 2001 season. Kevin Burch of Flemington, NJ was Trenton's four millionth fan during the 2003 season. In September 2005, Eileen Conville of Cinnaminson, NJ graced Waterfront Park to become the five millionth fan. Fan number six-million, Shawn Caple of Franklinville, NJ attended Waterfront Park on June 11, 2008.
The Thunder home schedule concludes on Thursday, September 2 and Eastern League playoffs begin on Wednesday, September 8. Tickets are available by calling 609-394-3300 or online at trentonthunder.com.
