LAST WEEK - Wichita finished up a series against the Kansas City Mavericks along with three meetings against the Tulsa Oilers this past week. On Tuesday, Wichita traveled to Tulsa for the front end of a home-and-home in the StoneWolf Casino Cup Series. Tulsa won by the final of 4-2. The Oilers defeated the Thunder on Wednesday night at INTRUST Bank Arena, 5-2. On Black Friday, the Thunder went to Independence and fell at the hands of the Mavericks by the final of 4-2. On Saturday night, Tulsa scored twice in the third period to knock off Wichita, 5-3.

TENTH MAN - Steven Iacobellis continued to stay hot this past week. He has assists in four-straight and points in 11-straight contests. Over that span, the rookie forward has 14 points (5g, 9a).

RETURN OF THE MACK - Mark MacMillan made his season-debut on Friday night in Kansas City. He scored in the first period to tie the game at one. MacMillan, who was second on the team in scoring last season, has goals in back-to-back games as he scored on Saturday night in Tulsa.

TEX MEX - Keoni Texeira is quietly having a solid start to his pro career. He has assists in six-straight games, earning six helpers over that span. The California native has eight points in 15 contests.

POWER PELLET - Wichita got off to a slow start on the power play, but has found its stride over the last eight games. The Thunder have 10 power play goals in its last eight, power play tallies in six-straight and have gone 10-for-33 on the man advantage (30.3%).

SCORING FIRST - Wichita suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday when scoring first. The Thunder are 4-1-3-1 in those situations.

THUNDERBOLTS... Stuart Skinner leads the ECHL in shootout wins (3)...Zach Todd is first among defensemen in shooting percentage (22.2%)...Jared Wilson is tied for fourth among rookies with 11 minor penalties...Steven Iacobellis is tied for third among rookies with three power play goals...Wichita is 4-2-3-0 when leading after one...Wichita is 3-0-1-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 3-1-3-1 in one-goal games...
