
Grizzlies Begin Road Trip Wednesday

West Valley City, Utah - This Week the Utah Grizzlies begin a 5 game road trip with games this Wednesday, Friday and Saturday against the Rapid City Rush. Utah played Rapid City at Maverik Center the first weekend of the season on October 12th and 13th, outscoring the Rush 10-4.
The Utah Grizzlies finished a successful 5-1 homestand over the past 2 weeks as they swept the Allen Americans last week, outscoring them 14-3 over the 3 game series.
The Grizzlies are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and have won 8 of their last 9 games. They have standings points in 15 of their 17 games this season. Utah has started strong in games this season, outscoring the opposition 24 to 11 in the first period of play.
Season goal totals have been impressive. Utah is 2nd in the league with 3.88 goals per game. They are also 4th in the league by allowing just 2.59 goals per game.
Matt Berry has 8 goals in his last 7 games. Last week was particularly great for Berry as he had 4 goals and 5 assists and was a +8 last week vs Allen. Berry got the first hat trick for Utah since the 2016-17 season on Nov. 21 vs Allen.
Joe Cannata has 3 consecutive shutouts. He has stopped each of his last 88 shots on goal. In terms of game time, Cannata's shutout streak has lasted 196 minutes and 8 seconds. The league record is 4, set by South Carolina's Jeff Jakaitis in the 2014-15 season. Cannata is 7-2-2 on the year. Kevin Carr stopped 36 of 39 shots in the Grizzlies 5-3 win last Saturday vs Allen. Carr is 5-0-1 on the year
Caleb Herbert continues to excel for Utah. He scored 4 goals and had 3 assists in the 3 game series vs Allen. Herbert leads the league with 17 goals on the year. That's 5 goals more than the next best in the league. He also leads the league with 30 points.
Cole Ully had an outstanding week for Utah. He finished the week with 1 goal and 7 assists and was a +7. Ully now leads the league with 19 assists on the year. He is tied for 2nd with 25 points. Both Herbert and Ully are tied for the team lead with a +11.
Austin Carroll has a point in 12 of his last 13 games. Carroll scored a goal in each of his last 2 games. Carroll is 4th on the team with 16 points on the year.
Jack Walker has been acquired by the Grizzlies and is added to the active roster. Walker had 11 goals and 18 assists for Rapid City last season. Walker spent the first part of this season with the Aalburg Pirates in Denmark. Walker had 101 goals and 147 assists in 5 seasons for the WHL's Victoria Royals from 2013-17.
Josh Dickinson scored his first goal in a Utah uniform last Saturday vs Allen. Dickinson has 1 goal and 1 assist in 2 games for the Grizzlies after being sent to Utah from the AHL's Colorado Eagles. Dickinson is 6'2 and 185 pounds. He played in 10 games for Colorado this year, scoring 1 goal.
Forward Brendan Harms was traded to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits for future considerations. Harms had 14 goals and 27 assists in 73 games in a Utah uniform.

The Grizzlies held a Food Drive presented by Ford for the November 24th game vs Allen. The Food Drive brought in 250-300 lbs in food. This will feed roughly 208 meals, or provide a family of 4 with 17 days worth of food.
