WALLEYE NOTES

Third period comeback leads Walleye to two win week: In danger of dropping back to back games by being down 5-3 with three minutes left Saturday, the Walleye went to work with Bryan Moore finding the back of the net twice to catch the Brampton Beast at five goals. Toledo won the game minutes later in a shootout to post its fifth straight home win. The Walleye followed that game up with a 4-3 win at Wheeling to finish the week with back to back wins.

Power Players: Shane Berschbach leads Toledo with 10 goals scored this season with seven of those coming on the power play. He leads the entire ECHL in power play goals scored this season. His teammate TJ Hensick added in two more power play assists to his league leading total which is now up to 12 on the season.

Best Walleye start ever: With a 13-2-1 start to the season, this year's Walleye team is off to the best 16 game start in Walleye history. That ties the 2002-03 Toledo Storm team that was also 13-2-1 after their first 16 games of a season for the best in Toledo ECHL history.

Multiple Moore: Not only did Bryan Moore post a pair of goals in Friday's come from behind victory, he went for a pair again on Saturday night in Wheeling. Prior to Friday, Moore had picked up just one goal for the year.

Stand them up: Another packed Huntington Center was on hand Friday with 8,000 Walleye fans in the house. It was the fourth sellout in five home games for the Walleye this season pushing into second in average attendance this year at 7,553 per contest (sellout is 7,431 in downtown Toledo).

Toledo vs. the State of Indiana: Just two games are on the slate for the Walleye this week with the first coming Friday night in Fort Wayne. Toledo is 3-0-0 this year against their closest rival. Saturday night, Indiana's other ECHL team the Indy Fuel will make their first appearance in Toledo this season. The Walleye have lost both games played this year against Indy, including a 4-3 overtime game in October.
