THUNDER MAKE ROSTER MOVES

12/14/2016 10:58 AM - Glens Falls, NY - The Adirondack Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, announced today that they have made three roster moves. Goaltender J.P. Anderson has been released from his PTO with the Utica Comets and has rejoined the team in advance of tomorrow's game with Brampton. The Thunder have also signed defensemen Nolan Kaiser and Travis Jeke to standard player contracts.
Anderson, 24, was originally acquired in a trade with the Wheeling Nailers in exchange for future considerations on December 7, but signed a PTO with the Utica Comets of the AHL on December 10. The 6-0 netminder is currently in his fourth professional season and has amassed a 4-1-1 in six games ECHL this season with Wheeling, where he posted a 2.16 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. In his professional career, Anderson has appeared in 16 games in the American Hockey League with the Worcester Sharks and 41 games in the ECHL, split between Wheeling, Allen, Ontario and San Francisco.
Kaiser, 24, joins the Thunder for his first career ECHL regular season stint. The Calgary, ALTA native attended training camp with the Colorado Eagles in 2015 and has spent the last two seasons in the SPHL with the Huntsville Havoc. Kaiser has appeared in 17 games this season with Huntsville, where he has amassed nine points (2-7-9), with his seven helpers the most on the team by a defenseman. Prior to beginning his professional career, Kaiser appeared in 76 total games with the Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks, where he collected 15 points (5-10-15).
Jeke, 23, comes to the Thunder from the Knoxville Ice Bears of the SPHL. The rookie began the 2016-17 ECHL season with the South Carolina Stingrays but was released on October 15 before playing a game. Jeke has amassed five points (1-4-5) in 11 games this season with Knoxville and ranks third on the team with a +6 rating. The Pittsburgh, PA native played four seasons of collegiate hockey at Boston College prior to beginning his professional career, where he had 69 games played. The 6-2 blueliner appeared in the 2016 Frozen Four as a member of the Eagles.
