
Vail Returns to Komets

Fort Wayne, IN-- The Komets announced Wednesday that forward Brady Vail has been released from his PTO with Rochester of the American Hockey League and will return to the Fort Wayne lineup.
Vail, 22, started the season with the Komets skating two games and scoring two goals and three points. The Palm City, Florida native was loaned to Rochester on Oct. 19 and appeared in 18 games scoring a goal and two points. Vail logged 70 games last season with Orlando and led the Solar Bears with 38 assists and ranked second with 58 points.
2016-17 is Vail's third full pro season since making his ECHL debut with Orlando in 2014-15 skating 64 games scoring 15 goals and 29 points while also participating in the ECHL All-Star Team. To date, Vail has amassed ECHL totals of 37 goals, 53 assists and 90 points in 136 games.
In additional player news, the Komets also announced Wednesday that defenseman Frank Schumacher has been placed on waivers.
The week ahead-- The Komets will skate three games in three nights this weekend. The Komets head to Wheeling Friday for the first of a home-and-home series against the Nailers. Saturday the Komets host Wheeling at 7:30pm and then cap the week by welcoming Orlando Sunday at 5pm.
Meijer Family Night Sunday-- The Komets present Meijer Family Night at every Sunday home game this season. Coupons for a Sunday 4-for-$36 ticket offer are available at all Meijer locations around the Fort Wayne area. Also, fans can bring their skates for a free open skate after each Sunday Meijer Family Night home game.
Save those valuable unused Komet tickets-- After this weekend, the Komets will host Brampton on Friday, Dec. 23 for the final home game until after the Christmas break. It will be one of many Season Ticket Recycling Nights this season. Komet Season Ticket Holders will be able to exchange any unused Komet tickets from previously scheduled home games this year for tickets to the game Saturday against Brampton.
Komets on the air-- Komet games are scheduled to air this season on WOWO AM 1190 and FM 107.5 with Shane Albahrani calling the play-by-play. All Komet radio broadcasts can also be heard worldwide as presented by Omni Source Radio Recycle at www.komets.com.
