
Three Straight for Claws After 4-1 Sunday Win

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Yerwin Trejo had three RBIs and three stolen bases as the BlueClaws topped Greenville 4-1 on Sunday at FirstEnergy Park for their third straight win.
The BlueClaws (15-20/44-61) have won three straight games for the first time in the second half and can sweep Greenville (16-21/48-59) with a win on Monday morning.
The BlueClaws opened the scoring in the third inning when Trejo reached on a fielder's choice groundout to score Malvin Matos.
Greenville got a run back in the fourth on a bloop single by Jordan Wren that tied the game.
Lakewood took the lead with three runs in the fifth. Yerwin Trejo singled home a pair before McCarthy Tatum tripled to left-center for a 4-1 lead.
Meanwhile, Lakewood starter Rafi Gonell gave up one run in five innings on three hits. He earned the win to improve to 4-1 on the season. Taylor Lehman followed Gonell and threw four hitless innings to earn the save.
Trejo, who had his first two-RBI game on Saturday, had his first three-RBI game in this contest. He added three steals and now has 23 on the season.
Malvin Matos had two hits for the sixth straight game and is 17-37 since July 10th. McCarthy Tatum also had two hits for the BlueClaws.
Drive starter Hunter Haworth (2-6) gave up four runs in 4.1 innings to take the loss.
The teams finish their series on Monday at 11:05 am. LHP Jhordany Mezquita will start for Lakewood opposite RHP Chase Shugat.
