
Three Scorpions Headed To All-Star Game

[ RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-The New Mexico Scorpions are proud to announce defenseman Vladimir Hartinger, goaltender Andrew Martin and forward Konrad Reeder have been named to the Southern Conference All-Star team. The CHL All-Star Game will take place January 16th in Broomfield, Colorado.
Hartinger will be making his second All-Star appearance. The Scorpions' captain has scored 23 points this season, sixth among CHL defenseman. He has been a key piece of the Scorps power play success this season scoring six goals and 11 assists while New Mexico has been on the man advantage.
Coming into the season, Martin was a relative unknown to most around the CHL. In the first half of the season he has burst onto the scene with a dazzling 2.63 goals against average, fourth among Southern Conference goaltenders, in 12 games played. The Plano, Texas native will be making his first All-Star Game appearance.
Reeder has followed up his sensational rookie season, with a stellar first half in his sophomore campaign. The Vanderhoof, B.C. native has scored forty points (14G, 26A) in 26 games, sixth in the CHL. He leads the entire league with 143 shots and four shorthanded goals.
The Scorpions will end the 2007 calendar year with games against Amarillo on December 28th and 29th at the Santa Ana Star Center . On the 28th, Thunderstix will be given to the fans courtesy of Santa Ana Star Casino. The following night Chick-Fil-A will help the fever by giving away cowbells.
