PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look to win their fourth straight game tonight, and extend their point lead in the Southern Conference over the Arizona Sundogs to seven with a win. Game time is 8:05 Laredo time.

Last night Laredo beat Arizona 2-1 increase their point lead in the Southern Conference over the Sundogs to five (44 to 39), while extending their winning streak to three games. James Hiebert scored a goal, and handed out an assist to lead the Bucks, while Dustin Traylen picked up his 13th win of the season setting aside 30 of 31 Sundogs shots.

With the win last night Bucks head coach/GM Terry Ruskowski picked up the franchises 230th all-time regular season victory.

With an assist last night Jeff Bes moved into fifth place in the CHL scoring race with 41 points (16-25= 41).

Bucks rookie Andrew Desjardins has had a very productive month of December. With his first period goal last night, Desjardins has registered 11 points in the month (5-6=11), while taking over the team lead in rookie scoring (22 points).

Kevin Beech will start in net tonight for the Bucks. Beech is 8-1-1 thus far in his rookie season, with a league-leading 1.74 goals against average, and a .926 save percentage. Beech lost to the Sundogs in Laredo on December 9th.

The Sundogs had their five game winning streak, and seven home game winning streak snapped last night in the loss. The Sundogs (10-2 at home) lost at Tim's Toyota Center for the first time since November 2nd.

Alex Leavitt is second in the CHL in scoring with 43 points (15-28=43), while rookie Mark Kolonos leads all first year players with 33 points (17-16=33).

Bill Zaniboni was saddled with the loss last night in making 33 saves. Andrew Gallant (12-3 in net) will likely get the start in net tonight for the Sundogs. Gallant shutout the Bucks in Laredo on December 9th, stopping 35 shots.

The Bucks will fly back to Laredo Sunday morning, and host division rival Rio Grande Valley in the sixth annual New Year's Eve Bash at the LEC on Monday night.

The first 1,500 fans in attendance Monday will receive glow-in-the-dark thunder sticks.
