(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Augusta starter Luis Ysla struck out 10 batters, and Tyler Horan, Ryder Jones and Rafael Rodriguez all homered as the GreenJackets took an 11-3 win over the Lexington Legends Saturday night.

The GreenJackets scored the game's first run in the second inning when Horan walked, went to second on a ground out and came home on a single by Eric Sim. They added a run in the third on a single by Gabriel Cornier, a sacrifice by Rando Moreno, a passed ball and a single by Chris Lofton.

Horan's fourth-inning homer to right field, a blast estimated at 470 feet, put the GreenJackets up 3-0.

In the top of the fifth, Sim and Cornier walked to start the inning, and with two outs, Jones hit a three-run homer, giving Augusta a 6-0 margin.

Horan started the top of the sixth with a single. Rodriguez walked, and after Ty Ross was called out on strikes, Sim reached base when his grounder got past third baseman Mauricio Ramos for an error, leaving the bases loaded. Cornier doubled home two runs, and Sim scored on a sacrifice fly by Moreno. Jones followed with a double, scoring Cornier, and Augusta had a 10-0 lead.

The Legends scored a run in the bottom of the sixth on a walk to Ramon Torres, a single by Frank Schwindel, and a double by Elier Hernandez.

Rodriguez hit a solo homer in the top of the ninth for the final Augusta run, and Dex Kjerstad hit a two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to close out the scoring.

With a fastball that regularly reached 95 miles per hour, Ysla fanned 10 batters, walked one and allowed four hits and one run in six innings. He evened his record at 5-5 with the victory.

Lexington starter Luis Rico (2-6), who pitched the first five innings, was the losing pitcher.

Each team has won one game in the series, which continues Sunday. Game time is 6:05 p.m.
