Thompson Placed on Injured Reserve

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that forward Brad Thompson has been placed on the seven-day injured reserve, while Jamie O'Leary has been transferred from the seven-day to the 30-day injured list.

Thompson has appeared in seven regular season games after being signed by Reading on March 31. He chipped in one assist in his first professional game a 6-3 win over Dayton on April 1. The former captain for Minnesota State-Mankato has also appeared in all three games in the North Division Semifinals but has been held scoreless.

Jamie O'Leary appeared in game one of this series last Thursday in Reading. The Royals were shutout 1-0 in that contest. O'Leary tallied two goals and three points with six minutes in penalties in seven regular season appearances with Reading. The Needham, Massachusetts native was placed on the 7-day injured reserve on April 16.

Reading and Toledo square off for game four of the North Division Semifinal series tomorrow night in the Sports Arena in Toledo, Ohio. Reading's back-to-back shutout wins have given them a two-to-one edge in the best-of-five series. The Classic Café pregame show begins at 6:33 p.m. with the drop of the puck at 7:05 p.m.
