
Thompson Named CFL All-Star

Hamilton, Ontario - Earlier today, the Canadian Football League announced the CFL's 2008 Defensive All-Stars. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats would like to congratulate defensive back Chris Thompson for earning a spot on the defensive all-star team.
Thompson finished the 2008 season tied for the league-lead with nine interceptions. The first-year Ticat also recorded 60 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, one fumble recovery and 10 pass knockdowns. Thompson was named the Ticats nominee for both the Most Outstanding Player and Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
The CFL All-Stars were selected by 46 voting members, including representation from the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC), the eight CFL head coaches and CFL fans from across the country.
