2008 CFL Defensive All-Star Team Named

Toronto, ON (November 12, 2008) - The Canadian Football League (CFL) released today the 2008 CFL Defensive All-Star Team.

The all-stars were selected by 46 voting members, including representation from the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) and the eight CFL head coaches, and fans from across the country.

Fans were given the opportunity to have their voice heard through the Future Shop CFL All-Star Balloting Program where three quarters of a million player votes were cast.

The FRC voting panel consists of representation from each CFL market and a national chapter.

The 2008 CFL Offensive All-Star Team will be unveiled tomorrow, Thursday, November 13 at Noon ET in a video release on CFL.ca.

Defensive Tackle Doug Brown, Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Defensive Tackle Aaron Hunt, BC Lions

Linebacker Maurice Lloyd, Saskatchewan Roughriders

Linebacker Anton McKenzie, Saskatchewan Roughriders

Linebacker Zeke Moreno, Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Defensive Back Jason Goss, Edmonton Eskimos

Defensive Back Chris Thompson, Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Cornerback Brandon Browner, Calgary Stampeders
