Juulsen picked by Montreal, two new Russians to Everett

It's been another busy drafting period in the hockey world, a period that started with Friday's first round of the 2015 NHL Draft. Defenseman Noah Juulsen became the seventh first-round pick in Silvertips history when the Montreal Canadiens took him with the 26th overall pick, giving Everett a first-rounder for the third time in four years. No other Silvertips were picked in this year's draft, but Kevin Davis, Austin Lotz, Tristen Pfeifer and Carson Stadnyk (among potential others) have all received invitations to attend summer development camps with NHL clubs. The Silvertips were the ones doing the drafting this morning during the 2015 CHL Import Draft, adding a pair of Russians to the team for next year: defenseman Alexander Scherbakov in the first round and winger Yan Khomenko in the second.

Street Hockey is fast approaching!

It's time to finalize your roster and get registered for the Silvertips Street Hockey Tournament! The event is now only 11 days away on Saturday, July 11 at Clark Park in downtown Everett. Limited space is still available in all divisions including the 13U and 16U kids divisions and the competitive and recreational adult divisions. 5-8 people are enough to field a team at a cost of $27 per player - which includes a ticket to the Silvertips' home opener on Oct. 10! We are also looking for volunteer scorekeepers and referees for the event: email DanT@everettsilvertips.com if you are interested in helping out. It's going to be a great day of fun, food, music and HOCKEY in the summer sun, so don't miss out!
