The Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Toledo Mud Hens split the first two games of their four-game set and resume the series tonight at 7:05 p.m.
PITCHING MATCHUP Cole Irvin goes for his ninth win of the season against right-hander Kyle Funkhouser. Tonight's pitching matchup is presented by Allentown Family Foot Care, which provides the latest in medical and surgical treatments of the entire foot and ankle. Learn more at affc.com.
Irvin makes his second start of the second half tonight against the Mud Hens. Last time out in Columbus, Irvin tossed six scoreless frames but did not earn a decision. This is Irvin's first start against the Mud Hens. A former fourth-round pick, Funkhouser is making his second Triple-A start of his career. He made his debut against the RailRiders but took the loss despite allowing just two runs in six innings.
LAST GAME The Pigs scored five runs after the eighth inning Friday Night to earn a 6-5 victory in 10 innings. Dean Anna drove in the tying run in the ninth inning before the Pigs plated a trio of runs in the 10th. Click here to read a full recap.
HEAD-TO-HEAD The Mud Hens and Pigs have split the first two games of this four-game series. Toledo leads the season series 3-2 after taking two out of three from the Pigs at Coca-Cola Parl.
Last season, the Pigs and Mud Hens split their six-game season series with each team winning two out of three at home. The IronPigs have not lost a season series to the Mud Hens since 2010 when Toledo took three out of five from Lehigh Valley.
NEXT WEEK AT COCA-COLA PARK The IronPigs return home July 24 when they welcome the Gwinnett Stripers.
