
Exciting New Promotions Added to Second-Half of 2018 Season

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - The Charlotte Knights are pleased to announce the addition of a number of exciting new promotions for the remainder of the 2018 season. Beginning with tonight's 7:04 p.m. game against the Indianapolis Indians from BB&T Ballpark -- and continuing at each of the next three home Saturday dates (August 4, August 18, & August 25) -- a fan could win $50,000 via a special Dice Roll Game.
Along with each of those Saturday games, the Knights have added a "Super Splash Day" at BB&T Ballpark on Friday, August 17th. Gates will open at 11:00 a.m. for the 12:05 p.m. game that day. The most visited venue in Minor League Baseball will turn into a water park for the day, featuring a Double-Lane Slip "N Slide, a Big Kahuna Wet Slide, a misting station, kiddie pools, on-field contests, and even a celebrity dunk tank.
A night later on Saturday, August 18, the first of two "Saturday Knight Fireworks" shows will fill the sky following our special "Ghostbusters Knight" with the "Ghostbusters of NC" and the Ecto-1 car at the ballpark. This game is presented by Husqvarna.
On Saturday, August 25th, the Knights will play a day/night doubleheader against the Gwinnett Stripers. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. for game one, which is set for 1:05 p.m. that day. The Knights will host their first-ever "Uptown Chowdown" -- the team's first all-you-can-eat event at BB&T Ballpark. For $25, fans can get a ticket to the game and enjoy all-you-can-eat hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, soft pretzels, soda, and ice cream treats. Fans at the "Chowdown" will also have the opportunity to sample and vote on what will become the Knights' signature food item for 2019. In addition, one fan could "Crack the Vault" in a special code game to win a prize valued at $60,000.
Game two of the day/night doubleheader on August 25th will start at 7:04 p.m. with gates set to open at 6:00 p.m. and the Knights will light up the Uptown Charlotte skyline after the game with "Saturday Knight Fireworks" presented by BB&T and News Talk 1110 WBT. This is also the team's "Military Appreciation" game presented by Tito's Handmade Vodka.
Additionally ,the Knights will host "Women in Baseball Day" on Sunday, August 5th and "Crockett Foundation Night" on Sunday, August 26th with post-game wrestling. More details on each of these two dates will be announced soon.
