
The Firebirds Are Back Home this Weekend

The Firebirds are back at home for a pair of games this weekend and the first in a stretch of four out of five that will be played on home ice! Flint is heating up with wins in three of its last four and has seen standout performances from Chicago Blackhawks prospect Gavin Hayes and team captain Zacharie Giroux, each of whom are on six-game point streaks. Edmonton Oilers prospect Nathan Day has also been stellar as of late; he made 36 saves on 39 shots and was named the game's first star for the third time in his last four starts in the 6-3 win over the Soo Greyhounds on the road on Wednesday.

FIRST RESPONDERS APPRECIATION NIGHT IS ON SATURDAY
The Firebirds kick off the weekend on Saturday night with First Responders Appreciation Night, sponsored by Dort Financial Credit Union with additional support from the DM Burr Group, ServPro of Northwest Genesee County and MedStar. The Soo Greyhounds are in town and all First Responders can receive a FREE ticket at the Dort Financial Center box office window with proof of employment, courtesy of the game night sponsors and supporters listed above!
Plus, come early to check out the Battle of the Badges charity game as the local police and fire departments clash on the ice at 4:30 p.m.

The Coors Light I-75 Divide Cup continues on Sunday with the rival Saginaw Spirit in town for the first time this season.
Bring the family out with our Sunday Family Funday; buy one adult silver or bronze level ticket at the box office and get TWO FREE silver or bronze level kids tickets! *Please note, this offer is only available at the box office window*
And make sure you and the kids wear your Halloween costumes to the game because we have pregame trick or treating from 3:00-4:00 p.m. while supplies last!

DORT FINANCIAL CENTER SECURITY AND BAG POLICY
Ahead of the weekend's games, the Firebirds would like to remind all fans of the Dort Financial Center's bag policy.
Bags, purses and clutches larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5" are prohibited. Single-compartment bags, wallets and clutches smaller than 4" x 6" x 1.5" with or without a handle or strap are permitted. Exceptions to this policy include bags needed for medical necessity and bags made of a clear material measuring no larger than 12" x 12" x 6".
Additionally, for the safety of our fans, at the recommendation of the security staff, added safety measures will be in place, including metal detector wanding of each fan upon entrance to the arena.
