(GREENSBORO, NC) Over 1,500 mystery bobbleheads ready for distribution arrived at First Horizon Park on Wednesday night. Witnesses say that these mystery dolls arrived in armored vehicles and under tight security. Within the package was a note that read, "Do not open until Saturday" written in mysterious handwriting.

"People go crazy over bobblehead doll give-a-ways," a witness to the dolly-drop-off commented. "I completely understand the use of the tight security. I mean, who doesn't love those wobbly-headed things?"

Previously, Greensboro Baseball has made bobbleheads of influential baseball players, coaches and other baseball executives close to the Greensboro community.

"We have handed out twelve bobbleheads in the past four years including Derek Jeter, Curt Schilling and even South Atlantic League President John Henry Moss," said Grasshoppers' President Donald Moore. "We wanted to do another bobblehead this year, but our front office struggled to think of anyone else. Although we remain in the dark of who or what it is at this point, I'm sure that whoever is immortalized in their own doll is worthy to represent baseball in Greensboro."

The doll's model will remain a mystery until packages are opened at 6:00PM Saturday night.

The Greensboro Grasshoppers were surprised by the delivery from Alexander Global Promotions and plan to pass out the mysterious dolls to the first 1,500 fans in the ballpark on Saturday night. The gates will open at 6:00PM and the game will start at 7:00PM.

It is recommended that because of the popularity surrounding bobblehead doll give-a-ways that fans arrive early.

For more information (even though we don't know who the dolls are either) call the Greensboro Grasshopper office at 336-268-2255.
