Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars posted a 2-0-0-0 record last week with two games. Texas started the week with a dramatic 4-3 overtime win at home over Toronto. The Stars rounded out the weekend with a 4-0 shutout at the AT&T Center over the San Antonio Rampage.

Stars and Stripes Weekend

The games for this upcoming weekend will start earlier than normal. Friday's faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center, while Saturday's game is slated for 6:00 p.m. For Military Appreciation weekend, the Texas Stars will wear specialty "Stars and Stripes" themed jerseys. The red-white-blue colored jerseys will be worn for both games over the weekend. A silent auction will be held on the concourse of the Cedar Park Center for fans to purchase the game-worn jerseys. The silent auction will begin on Friday and end after the second intermission on Saturday, November 12th. Saturday's game will be followed with a match-up between the University of Texas hockey club and the Texas A&M hockey club.

As presenting sponsor of Stars and Stripes, Sport Clips led the way with over 500 tickets donated to military personnel. In all, over 1,100 tickets have been donated to military families for the weekend games.

On Friday, November 11th, the Stars host Abbotsford at 7:00 p.m. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Travis Morin player magnet. Friday is also 3-2-1 night, featuring $3 domestic drafts, $2 sodas and $1 hot dogs. On Saturday, November 12th, the Stars host Abbotsford at 6:00 p.m. The first 2,500 fans through the gate receive a Stars and Stripes Hat, compliments of Sport Clips. Saturday is also a State Farm Family Four Pack night (4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas starting at $48).

Game Recaps

Toronto 3 at Texas 4 OT (11/3)

The Texas Stars defeated the Toronto Marlies 4-3 in overtime in front of 5,781 fans at Cedar Park Center on Thursday night. Texas left wing Francis Wathier scored the game-winning goal, 45 seconds into overtime to lift the Stars to victory. Texas forward Colton Sceviour set up the game-winning tally, as well as scored the team's third goal of the night. The Stars held off a late charge from Toronto, which resulted in a 3-3 tie with less than a minute remaining in regulation.

Texas 4 at San Antonio 0 (11/6)

The Texas Stars defeated the San Antonio Rampage 4-0 in front of 4,157 fans at the AT&T Center on Sunday night. Texas goalie Richard Bachman (5-3-0) stopped all 29 shots for his second shutout of the season. Texas right wing Tomas Vincour extended his scoring streak to five games in the victory. His seventh goal of the season also marked his sixth straight game with at least a point. Left wing Francis Wathier registered a goal and an assist, extending his points streak to five games.

Stars right wing Tomas Vincour has a goal in five straight games and at least a point in six straight games. Left wing Francis Wathier has a point in five straight games. Texas has three straight wins.
