- The Devils shutout in a 1-0 win Friday against Norfolk was the 19th all-time in club history and the first at the Times Union Center.
- Albany did not commit an infraction against Norfolk on Friday. The performance marked the second time in club history that the Devils stayed out of the penalty box for a complete game. The other came while the team was in Lowell on Mar. 16, 2008 against the Manchester Monarchs.
- After having his five-game point streak snapped Friday, Joe Whitney responded with a goal and an assist Saturday. Whitney leads the team and is tied for sixth among AHL rookies for points (10). Through 13 games, the Reading, Mass. native has five goals and five assists.
- Goaltender Keith Kinkaid earned his first career shutout Friday by making a season-high 34 saves against the Admirals, who have the league's top offense. Kinkaid has won his last two starts and has won three of his last four outings. For the season, he has a 1.98 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage. His goals-against average ranks fifth in the league, while his save percentage is tied for sixth.
- Adam Henrique, who produced 50 points (25g-25a) for Albany in 2010-11, is making an impact in the NHL. After being recalled from Albany by New Jersey on Oct. 22, Henrique scored his first career goal and added an assist at Philadelphia on Nov. 3.
