
Texas Legends Snap Stockton Kings Home Game Winning Streak with 125-115 Victory

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Kings (12-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, fell to the Texas Legends (11-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, by a score of 125-115, ending their home-game winning streak. Texas guard Brandon Fields had a game-high 26 points and 14 assists to give Stockton their first home loss of the season. Stockton was led by returning guards Cody Demps and Gabe Vincent who scored 25 points apiece.
Texas started the game with a 5-0 lead over Stockton. Demps answered with two back-to-back three-pointers. In the first half, Stockton shot 53% (10-of-19) from three-point range with Vincent shooting 4-of-9 from beyond the arch. Texas scored 46 of their 69 first-half points from inside the paint and led Stockton 69-59 at the half.
Texas's lead was by as many as 18 points in the third quarter, when they led 83-65 at the eight-minute mark. A three-pointer by Stockton guard Isaiah Canaan brought the score to 123-115 with 53.1 seconds remaining in regulation, but the Stockton Kings could not catch up.
Demps led Stockton with 25 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Vincent also scored 25 points, shooting 6-of-12 from three-point range, adding six rebounds and two steals.
Texas saw seven players in double figures with Texas guard Dakota Mathias and center Moses Brown each scoring 22 points. Legends forward Antonius Cleveland added 13 points, 10 rebounds including nine on the defensive end, and three steals.
On Saturday, December 28, the Stockton Kings will celebrate Star Wars Night as they take on the Santa Cruz Warriors at 7 p.m. at the Stockton Arena. Stockton will host a toy drive to benefit the Table Community Foundation, and fans who donate a new unwrapped toy at the arena will receive a free ticket to the game.
