Indiana Mad Ants News Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Grand Rapids Drive defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, 106-95, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night. Saturday night was the second victory of the regular season for Grand Rapids (11-9) against Fort Wayne.

Playing without both Detroit Pistons two-way players, Jordan Bone and Louis King, Craig Sword led the Drive with a season-high 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Adam Woodbury capped his night with a career-high 19 points and 13 rebounds.

The Mad Ants (8-11) jumped out to a 33-25 lead after 12 minutes, but Grand Rapids held Fort Wayne to just 35 points over the next two quarters to regain control and never surrender momentum back to Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne cut the deficit down to four with 4:07 remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Drive responded with a 6-0 run to eventually close out the central division battle.

Todd Withers added 16 points and nine rebounds, while Devon Baulkman chipped in 13 points for the Drive.

Tra-Deon Hollins dished out 12 assists to go along with 10 points off the bench for the Drive.

For Fort Wayne, Indiana Pacers two-way guard Brian Bowen II ended his career-high effort with 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting and a 6-for-6 clip from the free throw line. The rookie grabbed nine rebounds and had four assists as well.

Walt Lemon, Jr. ended the night with 22 points, five assists and four rebounds.

Ben Moore rounded out the night with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Saturday was the first game the Mad Ants dropped this season since acquiring Moore on Dec. 12.

Off the bench, JaKeenan Gant set a career-high with four blocks.

The Mad Ants will open 2020 on the road on Friday at Capital City. Grand Rapids will host Raptors 905 next Saturday night.

Fort Wayne returns home on Tuesday, Jan. 7 to welcome the Wisconsin Herd back to the Coliseum for the final time during the regular season.
