
Texas Adds Layton from Allen

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Tuesday that the club has recalled forward Nick Layton from the Allen Americans, Texas' primary affiliate in the Central Hockey League (CHL).
In mid-February, Layton made his AHL debut and suited up in four games for Texas without registering a point. The rookie has played in 54 games for the Allen Americans of the CHL this season. During his time with the Americans, Layton scored 13 goals and added 26 assists for 39 points.
Texas faces off against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Tuesday, March 13th at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday is an HEB Night, fans may bring any HEB brand non-perishable food item to the box office and receive $5 off their ticket price. The Stars take on the Oklahoma City Barons on Friday, March 16th at 7:30 p.m. Friday's game, presented by Best Buy, is a 3-2-1 night featuring $3 domestic drafts, $2 sodas and $1 hot dogs. The first 2,500 fans to Friday's game will receive a player magnet courtesy of Time Warner Cable. The Stars remain home for a 7:00 p.m. faceoff against the Barons on Saturday, March 17th. Saturday features the State Farm Family Four Pack, consisting of four tickets, four sodas, and four hot dogs starting at $48. The first 2,500 fans at Saturday's game will also receive a Texas Stars t-shirt, presented by CTRMA.
